Privacy policy

This policy explains what Greenhouse Removals does with the personal information you give us, and what rights you have over it. It applies to this website and to enquiries made through it.

What we collect

When you complete the quote form we collect your name, telephone number, email address, the pickup and drop-off addresses for the move, the moving date if you give one, and anything you write in the notes field. If you email or telephone us instead, we hold whatever you choose to tell us.

We don't set advertising or tracking cookies. Where we use a spam protection service on the quote form, that service may process technical information about your browser in order to tell a person from an automated submission.

Why we hold it

• To prepare and send you a quotation for the move you've asked about.
• To arrange and carry out that move if you go ahead.
• To arrange crate delivery and collection at both ends.
• To arrange reuse, donation or licensed disposal of items you're not taking.
• To answer questions you put to us.
• To meet record-keeping obligations that apply to us as a business, including waste duty-of-care records.

The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry you've made, and — once you book — performance of the contract between us. Waste records are kept to comply with a legal obligation.

Who sees it

Your details are used by us to quote and run your move. Where a move requires it, we share what's necessary with the parties who actually carry it out: our crews, a partner depot handling collection or delivery, a storage facility, a licensed waste carrier, and a charity or reuse organisation where you've asked us to arrange a donation collection. We share the minimum each of them needs.

We don't sell your information, and we don't pass it to anyone for marketing purposes.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't become bookings are kept only while they may still be useful to you, and then deleted. Records relating to a completed move are kept for as long as our insurance, tax and waste record-keeping obligations require, and then deleted.

Your rights

• Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct anything that's wrong.
• Ask us to delete it, where we're not required to keep it.
• Object to our use of it, or ask us to restrict that use.
• Ask for it in a portable format.
• Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you're unhappy with how we've handled it.

Write to hello@greenhouseremovals.co.uk and we'll deal with it. If you ask us to delete information, we'll tell you plainly if there's anything we're obliged to retain and why.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version appears on this page. Material changes affecting people who have already enquired will be notified directly.
