Grouped by where the material goes
Not by what's moved or how far — by what happens to the packaging afterwards, and to the things that aren't coming with you. Each pathway has an honest limitation listed with it.
Crated house move
Your whole move packed into stackable reusable crates that we deliver beforehand and collect afterwards. No cardboard mountain in the hallway at either end.
We drop the crates off before the move so you can pack at your own pace, and we take them back once you have unpacked. They go to be cleaned, checked and sent out again — a crate does hundreds of moves before it is retired, and when it is retired the plastic is recycled rather than landfilled.
Crates stack and lock, which is the practical advantage rather than the environmental one: a stacked crate wall in a van does not shift, does not crush the box underneath, and does not collapse when it gets damp. Books and kitchens in particular travel better in crates than in cardboard.
Fragile and awkward items still get proper protection — export wrap, blankets, purpose-made covers for mattresses and upholstery. Crates are the default, not a dogma.

The honest limitation
Crates need collecting, so you need somewhere to stack them for a short while after unpacking. If you are moving into a small flat with no spare corner, tell us and we will plan a tighter turnaround.
Rehoming and clearance
The wardrobe that will not fit, the sofa that has done its time, the shed contents. Sorted into reuse, donation and responsible disposal rather than one skip.
Every move generates a pile of things that are not going to the new house. Left to the last day, that pile becomes a skip, and a skip is where usable furniture goes to stop being furniture.
We separate it at survey into what can be reused, what a charity or reuse organisation will take, and what genuinely has to be disposed of. The first two categories are almost always bigger than people expect.
Disposal is done through licensed waste carriers with the paperwork to prove it. We keep your waste transfer documentation and give you a copy — that is your legal protection as much as ours.

The honest limitation
We cannot promise a charity will take a specific item — reuse organisations have their own rules about upholstery, fire labels and condition, and they change. We will tell you what is realistic at survey rather than after the van has gone.
Storage between moves
Containerised storage for the gap between two dates, so a delayed completion does not turn into replacing everything you gave away.
The most wasteful thing a move can do is force you to get rid of furniture because the dates did not line up, then buy it all again once you finally move in.
Your goods stay in the same containers they were loaded into — they are not handled in and out of a warehouse, which is where damage happens.
Containers are stored in a fixed, monitored facility. You can get access with notice; we will tell you what notice the site needs when you book.

The honest limitation
Storage is not free and it is not indefinite. If the gap is going to be long, say so at the outset so we can quote it honestly rather than rolling a short-term rate forward.
Office and business moves
Office relocations where the desks, chairs and IT that do not fit the new floorplan are redeployed, resold or recycled properly — with the audit trail.
Office churn is where the real waste in this industry sits. A department move can put a hundred usable task chairs into a skip because nobody costed the alternative.
We inventory assets before the move and split them: what goes to the new space, what goes into a reuse or resale channel, and what has to be recycled. WEEE-regulated IT equipment is handled through a licensed route with documentation.
You get the paperwork you need for your own reporting. We do not write your sustainability report for you, but we give you the underlying records so it can be written honestly.

The honest limitation
Resale value on used office furniture is modest and market-dependent. We will not promise a return on your old desks; we will promise they do not go straight to landfill.
